Vehicle Fire Assist on Bethel Church Road Area of Youngstown Fire District

PUVFD was activated to assist Youngstown VFD for a vehicle fire endangering a house on Bethel Church Road in Unity Township. Arriving firefighters found that the homeowner used a truck to pull the burning car away from the residence prior to fire department arrival eliminating the threat to the house. PUVFD firefighters provided a water supply to the first arriving fire engine. There were no injuries. Also assisting were firefighters from Whitney-Hostetter, Lloydsville, Bradenville, Latrobe #5 and Chestnut Ridge VFD's.

PUVFD was activated at 9:16 AM this morning for a two vehicle accident on Route 130 at Pleasant Unity Mutual Road near the Pleasant Unity Sewage Treatment Plant. Arriving firefighters found two vehicles had collided at the intersection and one driver required medical treatment.
