PUVFD was activated at 7:39 PM to assist Marguerite VFD with a reported trailer fire on Persian Lane in the Woodside Village Mobile Home park in Unity Township. Our engine 36-1 arrived just after Marguerite to the well involved trailer fire and crews were assigned to fire suppression assisting crews from 33. The occupants were not home and there were no injuries. Also assisting Marguerite were fire units from Dryridge, Trauger, Youngstown, Lloydsville, Mutual, and Latrobe.

PUVFD was activated at 9:16 AM this morning for a two vehicle accident on Route 130 at Pleasant Unity Mutual Road near the Pleasant Unity Sewage Treatment Plant. Arriving firefighters found two vehicles had collided at the intersection and one driver required medical treatment.

Junior Firefighters are needed!! The fire companies that comprise the Unity Township Fire Bureau have initiated a Junior Firefighter Recruitment Campaign at the Greater Latrobe Senior High School.
